The Cherokee Indian Reservation is 45 miles east of Andrews. Since the late 1940s, the town of Cherokee has built three major cultural attractions: The Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Oconaluftee Indian Village and "Unto These Hills" outdoor drama. Handmade Cherokee crafts are displayed and sold at the 350 member Qualla Arts and Crafts Cooperative. Test your luck at the Cherokee Tribal Casino. Contact the Cherokee Visitor Center, P.O.
